Mount Kosciuszko Challenge 2018 including the inaugural “Parliament to the Peak (P2P)” Cycle Ride

The Mount Kosciuszko Challenge is an annual event hosted by Rare Cancers Australia to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Australians diagnosed with a rare and less common cancer. Join us for the climb from Thredbo to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko on Saturday 2nd March 2019. The view from the top is spectacular and the journey towards it is breathtaking. Get involved, enjoy one of Australia's most beautiful landscapes and help the over 52,000 Australians diagnosed each year with a rare and less common cancer.

This year we’ve added an additional challenge for those who love to cycle. The Parliament to the Peak (P2P) cycle ride will commence at Parliament House, Canberra at 9.00am on Thursday, February 28th, stopping at Cooma overnight and finishing in Thredbo Village on Friday afternoon.

P2P Cycle Challenge

The event will leave Parliament House in Canberra at 9.00am on Thursday, February 28th cycling past Lake Burleigh Griffin and on to the Monaro Highway. There will be an overnight stop at Cooma and then cyclists will depart Cooma and cycle along the picturesque Monaro Highway through Jindabyne and up the grueling Alpine Way to finish in Thredbo Village on Friday afternoon, March 1st 2019.

Entry fees include a P2P cycling jersey, a rare cap, and registration for the Kosi Challenge Climb. For those who wish to take the chairlift to Eagles Nest, a chairlift ticket must be purchased separately during the registration process.

Those wishing to take the Chairlift option must choose a start time from 9.00am onwards, as the chairlift services will not be open prior.
