Kosciuszko Challenge

On the 2nd of March, I am joining Rare Cancers Australia in the Mount Kosciuszko Challenge, where I will be climbing from Thredbo to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko (climbing 2,228 metres above sea level!!!) before making the descend back to Thredbo.

Having lost my father and a very close uncle to this awful disease, this cause is very close to my heart.

Currently, there is little support for people with a rare cancer, with mortality rate extremely high, coupled with the exorbitant financial burden of treatment, most patients struggle to access information and care. This event is an opportunity to provide rare cancer patients with the same excellent care as those with more common cancers.

So yes, this is a very shameless plug for donations! I’ve been told anything over $2 will be tax deductable 

Proceeds from the event have helped fund:
Patient Access to Treatment
Research Initiatives
Education and Community Awareness Programs
Advocacy and Policy Engagement

Alternatively, I would be equally grateful if you just spoke with at least one family or friend about the event. I believe in raising awareness on this small but important patient group to ensure they will not be forgotten or ignored again.

Thank you!
