The Kosi Challenge is an annual event hosted by Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Australians diagnosed with a rare, less common or complex cancer each year. 

In March 2024, I will be climbing 2,228 metres above sea level to reach Australia’s highest point to help RCA, my second adventure up this mountain and for this meaningful cause.

One hundred per cent of funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes towards the important work of RCA's Patient Support Team.

From helping patients to access specialists and treatments, through to delivering support groups, connecting people with services and providing financial assistance particularly in times of crisis, Patient Support is at the heart of what RCA does.

RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations over AU $2 are fully tax deductible.

1 week to go!

With 1 week to go before the hike up the mountain, I'm extremely grateful for the donations from my supporters thus far! I'm proud to say I have smashed my fundraising goal thanks to the generosity of my friends, family, colleagues and network. 

And during the countdown, I'm sending wishes to "the weather".... hoping that blue skies and good visibility will support me on the day, so I can actually see what's up there at Australia's highest point, unlike my last attempt where I walked through clouds for hours (see my "profile" shot).

Closing in on my fundraising goal - can you swap a coffee for a donation?

I'm getting closer to reaching my fundraising goal of $1200, and there are only 2 weeks until I take on the challenge up the mountain. 

MY ASK - can you spare a coffee this week and instead donate to my challenge for Rare Cancers Australia -  $4.50 or even $7 if you're drinking iced coffees at the café?

Every single dollar raised through the Kosi Challenge directly contributes to the invaluable efforts of RCA's Patient Support Team.
