Thank you to everyone who supported our Kosi Challenge in 2026.
Since its humble beginnings, the Kosi Challenge has grown to a much-loved event involving more than 1,000 participants across two days in Thredbo and virtually. In 2026, we reached our highest fundraising total yet, of more than $820,000, taking the total raised to more than $6 million in the past 14 years.

What is the Kosi Challenge?
The Kosi Challenge unites the rare community to raise vital funds and awareness for Rare Cancers Australia’s patient support programs.
Every dollar, every story and every step counts as patients, carers, families and supporters climb from the heart of Thredbo Village to the summit of Australia’s highest peak, Mt Kosciuszko.
It’s a challenging climb that demands resilience, perseverance and the encouragement from others to reach the summit – a reflection of the strength and support people living with rare cancers need every day.
