I am climbing for rare

The Kosi Challenge is the single signature fundraiserfor Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), with the sole purpose of raising awareness and much needed funds for people across Australia impacted by rare and less common cancers.

In March 2026, I'll be climbing with hundreds of others, in support of rare, in memory of and with those living with rare themself – together we are a community and Kosi unites us all!

All funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes directly towards funding the individualised, 360 degree person centred support that RCA’s team of specialist cancer navigators provide for patients, carers and their families.

Thank you so much for your support – now can I get a ‘Kosi, Kosi, Kosi – Oi,Oi,Oi!’

Why I'm walking

As usual I am very late on the post but have been walking this month with the aim to reach 60km and raise some money for Rare Cancers Australia.
It's been 11 years since we lost our beautiful friend Ash. She endured 10 rounds of chemo, 55 doses of radiotherapy, a hemipelvectomy operation and a stem cell transplant. Her cancer spread and at 20 years old, she was told there were no further treatment options for her. Rare cancer patients like Ash have less treatment options as there is little investment, less research and limited expert knowledge in the diagnosis.
