On March 13th I will be hiking Mount koziosco with my friends Janice and Sam to raise funds for rare cancers Australia. 

Almost a year ago, on March 8th- international women’s day, a close friend of mine lost her battle with a rarer form of Leukaemia. This hike is not only to raise funds to support research and provide support for families, but to honour and remember my friend. She loved hiking, loved adventures, and loved just being in nature. I know she is somewhere else hiking mountains now but hiking koziosco makes me feel a bit closer to her, as it’s something we  both loved to do and climbed many mountains together.  I want to always remember and honour my friend. She taught me to see the beauty in everything. We miss you Ashlyn 🩷

The Kosi Challenge is the single signature fundraiser for Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), with the sole purpose of raising awareness and much needed funds for people across Australia impacted by rare and less common cancers.

All funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes directly towards funding the individualised, 360 degree person centred support that RCA’s team of specialist cancer navigators provide for patients, carers and their families.
