I am climbing for rare
The Kosi Challenge is the single signature fundraiserfor Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), with the sole purpose of raising awareness and much needed funds for people across Australia impacted by rare and less common cancers.
In March 2026, I'll be climbing with hundreds of others, in support of rare, in memory of and with those living with rare themself – together we are a community and Kosi unites us all!
All funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes directly towards funding the individualised, 360 degree person centred support that RCA’s team of specialist cancer navigators provide for patients, carers and their families.

I’m committing to climb Mt Kosi — 21 km to the summit for rare cancers
Today I said “yes” to a challenge that feels both humbling and exciting: I’ve signed up to hike 21 km to the summit of Mt Kosi to raise awareness and funds for people affected by rare cancers. It’s one part personal test, one part purpose — a way to push my limits while standing with those whose fights are often overlooked.
Training for a long climb like this will be hard work — early mornings, endurance walks, and steady mental prep — but the idea of doing it in such a beautiful place keeps me motivated. The views, the fresh air, and the rhythm of the trail will make each kilometre meaningful. Even better, I’ll be doing it alongside a group of like‑minded people who care about the cause and the climb.
This isn’t just about reaching the summit. It’s about using the journey to spark conversations, raise funds for research and support, and show solidarity with anyone touched by a rare cancer.
