I am walking for rare cancers and for my nephew Tom
The Kosi Challenge is the single signature fundraiserfor Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), with the sole purpose of raising awareness and much needed funds for people across Australia impacted by rare and less common cancers.
In March 2026, I'll be doing my own virtual climb of Mt Kosiosko. Hundreds of others will be climbing in person, in support of rare, in memory of and with those living with rare themself – together we are a community and Kosi unites us all! I will be dedicating my fundraising effort to my nephew Tom, who was recently diagnosed with a rare lymphoma.
All funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes directly towards funding the individualised, 360 degree person centred support that RCA’s team of specialist cancer navigators provide for patients, carers and their families.
P.S RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations are fully tax deductible.

In support of my nephew Tom, I am so pleased to raise my target donations to $2000. I am overwhelmed by the support I have received and I'm going to be bold and push the boundaries a little further!!

I am completely blown away by the support for my participation in the Kosi Challenge this year. It is my goal to be able to do this in person one day, and this resolve has been made even more concrete by the motivation I have for doing this for my family. My nephew Tom has been through one hell of a ride in the past 10 years and the latest challenge has been in the form of a rare lymphoma. I am so proud of him and his wife Kirstin for their resilience and strength in each other to keep following their dreams and find hope and life and love in every day.
