For Those Who Can’t — and Those Who Still Do
Why I’m Taking on the Kosi Challenge — Again
This year, I’m taking on the Kosi Challenge for the second time — a physical and emotional journey that continues to mean more to me with every step.
Mount Kosciuszko may be Australia’s highest peak, but this challenge has never been just about reaching the summit. It’s about purpose, resilience, and standing alongside a community united by something far greater than the climb itself.
Inspired by the People on the Mountain
Last year’s Kosi Challenge left a lasting mark on me.
What truly inspired me wasn’t the mountain — it was the people on it.
I walked alongside individuals who were actively battling cancer, some climbing with oxygen bottles on their backs, facing their own cancer “mountain” with extraordinary courage. They were supported by families — young and old — climbing together, step by step, creating an overwhelming sense of belonging, unity, and shared strength.
Others climbed in memory of loved ones they had lost — carrying stories, grief, love, and hope to the summit. Watching people honour those they’d lost while turning pain into purpose was deeply moving and unforgettable.
Those moments are the reason I’m back this year.
Turning Challenge Into Impact
The Kosi Challenge represents an opportunity to transform physical effort into meaningful impact — to take discomfort, fatigue, and self‑doubt, and turn them into something that genuinely changes lives.
Training once again has reminded me that progress isn’t about speed, but consistency. Early mornings, tired legs, and tough sessions are part of the journey — but they’re nothing compared to what so many others face every single day.
Why This Cause Matters
What makes this challenge truly powerful is who it supports. The funds raised go directly toward helping people and families impacted by cancer — offering support, hope, and care when it’s needed most.
Knowing that each step I take contributes to easing someone else’s burden is what keeps me moving forward when the climb gets tough.
A Community Built on Courage
While I’ll be walking the trail again this year, this challenge is anything but a solo effort. The Kosi Challenge brings together people from all walks of life — united by compassion, strength, and a shared determination to make a difference.
That sense of community — of walking together, supporting one another, and climbing for something bigger than ourselves — is what makes this experience so special.
The Summit Is Just the Beginning
Reaching the top of Mount Kosciuszko is a proud moment, but the real success lies in the collective impact we create along the way. If this journey helps raise awareness, funds, or simply reminds someone that they’re not alone, then every step is worth it.
How You Can Help
If you’re able to support my Kosi Challenge journey this year, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps turn effort into action and challenge into change.
If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page or offering a word of encouragement means just as much.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me — for the second-year running. Together, we climb. Together, we make a difference.
