Why am I raising money?
Rare cancer has affected my family, as it has so many families around the world. I remember watching my grandfathers slow battle with brain cancer as a little kid. Some of the only memories I have of him are from that difficult time, which is not how anyone wants to remember a loved one. My dad has also battled a rare blood cancer, and thankfully he’s looking strong and doing well. Seeing firsthand the toll cancer can take has made this cause very personal to me. By taking on the Rare Cancer Kosciuszko challenge, I’m hoping to help raise awareness and support for families facing the same battle. People living with cancer are already fighting the hardest fight imaginable. They’ve done their part. Now it’s time for us to do ours.
