I am climbing for rare
On 14 March, I’ll be climbing Mount Kosciuszko as part of the Kosi Challenge to raise funds for Rare Cancers Australia. I’m 11 years old, and one of the youngest climbers on this challenge!
This climb is especially meaningful to me. I’m doing it to support people living with rare and less common cancers, including members of my own family. Like so many others, everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by cancer, and I want to help make sure no one feels alone when facing a diagnosis.
I’m also taking on this challenge as part of my Round Square Gold Award, which encourages service, courage and making a positive difference in the community. This climb is my way of putting those values into action.
The Kosi Challenge is the signature fundraiser for Rare Cancers Australia. All funds raised go directly to RCA’s specialist cancer navigators, who provide personalised support to patients, carers and families across Australia.
