I am climbing for rare

The Kosi Challenge is the single signature fundraiser for Rare Cancers Australia (RCA), with the sole purpose of raising awareness and much needed funds for people across Australia impacted by rare and less common cancers.

In March 2026, I'll be climbing with hundreds of others, in support of rare, in memory of and with those living with rare themself – together we are a community and Kosi unites us all!

All funds raised through the Kosi Challenge goes directly towards funding the individualised, 360 degree person centred support that RCA’s team of specialist cancer navigators provide for patients, carers and their families.

Thank you so much for your support – now can I get a ‘Kosi, Kosi, Kosi – Oi,Oi,Oi!’

P.S RCA is a Federal Government-classified Health Promotion Charity. All donations are fully tax deductible.

Walking for Rare Cancer Awareness

When one of my closest friends was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, everything suddenly felt uncertain.
There was no clear information, no familiar pathway, and very few answers. Like so many people facing a rare cancer diagnosis, she was thrown into a world where the unknown was overwhelming, and support and understanding were hard to find.
Despite that, she has continued to show extraordinary strength, grace, and determination. She keeps showing up for life, for her community, and for the people around her, even when the road is unimaginably tough.
That’s why we’re taking on this challenge.
We’re walking to support her, to raise awareness, and to shine a light on the work of Rare Cancer Australia, who advocate for better information, support, and outcomes for people facing rare cancers.
I can’t wait to experience this challenge alongside her. This walk is about friendship, courage, and hope.
And it’s about making sure that people facing rare cancer feel seen, supported, and less alone.
